My education in clinical neuromuscular massage began with an amazing instructor who enthusiastically incorporated her personal work experience from being a Miami Dolphins massage therapist into her teachings. A thorough and greatly detailed education of body systems and functions, down to the level of chemical interactions/reactions in the body, was learned.
My professional hands-on training was taken to a deeper level with a privilege to learn from an instructor who had been a massage therapist for the Beijing Olympic Team, MMA fighters, PGA members and a national soccer team. He brought a wealth of knowledge and level of competency that has been a great asset to me.
I choose to focus on the "positives" in life, and to live life with integrity - of "what you do even when no one is watching." This, combined with a strong calling to assist those in need, has helped me achieve Valedictorian designation at my alma mater, become a Preferred Practitioner through the Society for Oncology Massage, and I am privileged to be on the Southeastern Institute Advisory Board in providing input for our upcoming therapists joining this community.
